Our Response

Every Day, People of Ukraine Are Suffering at the Hands of russian Aggressors

Emergency first responders, hospital staff, and aid workers are working tirelessly to save lives on the front lines and in war-impacted zones — and in many cases have become targets themselves. Personal protective equipment, medical supplies, rescue tools, and hospital diagnostic and surgical equipment are needed now more than ever.

Your contribution can make a meaningful impact and save the lives of innocent people.

Firefighter Aid Ukraine – Meet the Teams Behind the Mission

Established in 2014, Firefighter Aid Ukraine (FFAU) has become a cornerstone of international support for Ukraine’s emergency response network. Over the past decade, FFAU has worked hand-in-hand with the State Emergency Services (DSNS) delivering nearly 500 tonnes of life-saving rescue gear and medical aid to frontline responders and hospitals as of Spring 2025. FFAU even supports several orphanages in Ukraine.

The training will ensure that first responders in Ukraine are safer and have a wider number of skills to use when they are responding to calls. Supporting Ukrainian Communities in Need

Firefighter Aid Ukraine would not be able to provide assistance to Ukraine without our sponsors, donors, partners, and volunteers.

Equipment Donations

We collect unneeded/unwanted firefighter bunker/turnout gear, personal protective equipment (PPE), life rescue equipment, and medical supplies from fire departments and vendors in Canada and send it to Ukraine.

Monetary Donations

FFAU aims to raise the necessary funds to send these goods to first responders in various locations of Ukraine who are in desperate need of equipment and supplies required to fulfill their duties to serve and protect citizens, while ensuring one's own safety.
